“Fatherhood is a privilege, not a right.”
Becoming a father is one of the most life-altering events for any man. It was the same for me too. When I became a father in 2019, I was happy and confused at the same time. The experience over the past two years has taught me life lessons and skills that go beyond anything I have known. Each day is a new day with new challenges and learnings as a parent.
What is Better Dad and why should you care?
Better Dad is my sincere attempt at sharing and discussing issues that parents face from the time they know a baby is coming to the initial few years. This is a weekly newsletter covering experiences, interviews, opinions, how-tos, tips and above all, discuss and debate the most pressing problems to the funniest and slightest of things in the world of daddies. The newsletter drops in every Saturday, 8AM, India time.
The focus of this newsletter is on dads. However, the aim is to provide as much information to fathers to get them to be better at parenting and provide the much-needed support moms expect. This will not only make them better dads but also better husbands and better human beings.
Recently, I wrote about what would-be fathers must know when they are about to get into parenting. Many fathers are confused and are left at the mercy of society for guidance. In this article, I share some tips on the basics that need to be covered.
If you are a new father or about to become one, this is the newsletter you must subscribe to.
